Crackspace.com: It's not what you think
Move over Myspace.com; watch out Youtube.com, hip-hop has got a brand new look on the web. In a unique move by creator Chuck Wilson, founder of Babygrande Records, the fusion of consumer-generated media (myspace and facebook) has led to Crackspace.com a web community that caters to the urban population.
Crackspace.com is the first web community, video sharing and download store hybrid, according to an article from the Hip Hop Press. The site made its official launch on November 1, 2006 and has over 7,000 users in less than a month. The site will feature world premieres of previously unreleased songs from artists like Akon, according to the Hip Hop Press article.
Users can register and a world of hip-hop instantly pops up from audio clips to message boards and even current news of the hip-hop community.
